Career Overview
Admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland, a Registered Trade Marks Attorney, and a member of the Institute of Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys of Australia (IPTA), Karla’s career is defined by a deep-rooted history with IP Wealth®. She first joined IP Wealth in 2012, progressing quickly to Senior Associate. In 2023, she took a strategic hiatus to join IP Australia as an Assistant Hearing Officer, holding decision-making delegations under the Trade Marks Act and Regulations and gaining an insider’s perspective in the trade marks and designs oppositions and hearings section. Returning to IP Wealth® in 2026 as Head of Trade Marks, Karla leads the trade mark division, pairing strategic oversight with complex technical execution to deliver comprehensive brand security and commercial results.
